That You May Have Life!

...but these have been written so that you may believe
 that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;
 and that believing you may have life in His name.
John 20:31

What is your ultimate travel experience-- European vacation, cruise, Disneyland? Mine was Ireland.

Even now when I picture heaven some of the landscapes from Ireland come to mind.

I could use thousands of words to try to describe it to you, but if you haven't been there...well, you just haven't been there. You'd have to experience it for yourself to grasp its breathtaking beauty.

Life in Christ is the same. God has written thousands of words to describe himself, his love for us, what he's done through Christ and what he has prepared for those who believe in his Son. But until we experience Christ, they remain just words.

In this passage, John 20, verse 31, we see the purpose of all scripture...that we might believe Jesus is who he said and that by believing in him, trusting him with your heart, soul, life and can have life...REALLY live for now and for all eternity. This one verse of scripture is so powerful that I had to capture it with my art-journaling.

Images are stamped with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and colored with watercolor paints. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to antique the edges of the page.

  1. So beautiful, Diane! Thank you!
    I've been gathering supplies to begin Bible Journaling myself! I'm excited to see more from you, and learn lots! :o)

    1. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting, Nancy! You made my day!

  2. Diane, I visit here all the time...I think you are a very gifted writer and I am always so uplifted when you share your faith! I need to leave more comments, though. I have always wanted to visit Ireland...there are a lot of family roots on my husband's side there. The photos are breathtaking, as well as your Bible jounaling. That is such a powerful verse!! I still recall studying that and discovering the key verse of the whole book through Bible Study...and the excitement and awe I expreienced. Bless you, dear friend!

  3. Awww...thank you for your sweet comments, Traci! If you ever have the chance to go to Ireland, do it. I promise it will be among your best experiences ever, especially if you have roots there. Thanks for commenting today. I have become so accustomed to Facebook, it's a little challenging to be back into the blogging mode!

Your comments bless me so much! Thank you for taking the time to leave them.
