Don't we need more of it? Who doesn't need an extra dose of wisdom from God when dealing with life's big and little issues? God has a formula for gaining wisdom. Proverbs is replete with passages that extol the virtue of wisdom and how it can enhance our lives. James tells us that if we lack wisdom and need it, we can simply ask God who has a treasure trove of wisdom at His disposal.
I selected a passage from Proverbs 3 to illustrate some powerful principles about gaining wisdom, but you can start reading at the very beginning of Proverbs for a feast on the topic. You can glean some real treasures here no matter what your age or stage in life, regardless of your circumstances. A little heavenly wisdom and divine discernment is always good.
If I didn't
mention it before, my art-journaling Bibles will one day be passed down
to my sons and their families. I'm hoping it will be a meaningful thing
to have my thoughts and favorite verses illustrated. And what mother
could resist an opportunity for a little fun teaching? So I added a bit
of humor to the sidebar.
To color, I used my Stampin' Up! watercolor crayons and Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (LOVE).
The tree and owl are from one of my digital stamp designs. I just printed it out and used it to trace the image on the page where I wanted it. So digi stamps make great traceables!
God's wisdom is accessible to His children...but we do have to listen. What wisdom has He recently dispensed to you?

Thanks for visiting and being a blessing in my day!

ReplyDeleteWe so need wisdom, and I find that the more I grow and learn, the more I realize how much I need His wisdom!
